Fruit-filled crepes

 

INGREDIENTS

Crepes (see instructions below)

Seasonal berries

or bananas

Forte chocolate fruit spread. Any flavor will work but Chocolate date and Chocolate espresso will be stunning.

 

 

 

 

DIRECTIONS for Fruit-filled crepes

  1. Smear the Forte spread on the crepe
  2. Add fruits in the middle third of the crepe
  3. Fold both sides towards the middle so they overlap.

 

 

INGREDIENTS for the crepes

For gluten free crepes use Forte's crepe mix

For regular crepes, use recipe below:

1/2 all purpose flour

1/2 cup milk of choice

1/4 cup luke-warm water

2 large eggs

2 tbsp oil of choice (we recommend melted coconut oil)

1/2 tbsp sugar 

pinch of salt

DIRECTIONS FOR THE CREPES:

Here is a useful Youtube video on how to make crepes or follow the instructions below.

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or with a hand mixer until smooth
  2. Let it stand for 30 minutes at room temperature or in the fridge over night
  3. When ready to fry, use a non-stick crepe panor frying pan (8" works best) on medium heat
  4. Stir the batter and pour a ladleful (~1/3 cup) in the middle of the pan
  5. Swirl until it covers the entire pan in a thin layer
  6. Cook until the top is set and the underside is golden 
  7. Turn the crepe over with your finger or a spatula until the other side is golden as well 
  8. Continue to cook the rest of the batter
